Morbid Anatomy Flea Market & Jersey Fest

Hi Frightners! I wanted to take a minute to call attention to two different events going on this weekend August 29th & 30th. First up is The Morbid Anatomy Flea Market at the Bell House in Brooklyn NY.http://www.thebellhouseny.com/event/905665-morbid-anatomy-flea-market-brooklyn/ The Flea is open on Sunday at 12PM and ends at 9PM. Entrance is is $1. This is a unique flea market as you can tell by the name. Vendors at the show will have everything from Taxidermy, bones, unusual antiques, obscure books, and assorted curiosities. As a haunter and a lover of all things macabre I think this show will be a bunch of fun and I am sure there will be some great finds for use in a haunt or even as a display piece for your home. Also if you are a follower of the show Oddities on the Science Channel then Ryan Matthew Cohn will also be present with two tables of osteology and antiquities. If you have seen any of his work like his exploded skulls that have been featured on a few occasions on the show then you know it's some pretty amazing stuff. The second show is the Jersey Fest Model Kit & Statue Fair. If you are an enthusiast or collector of model making kits, statues, replica props or fine art then you will want to check this fair out located a the Hanover Hotel. http://jerseyfestfair.com Not only do they have a show floor with a large list of vendors but they also offer hobby classes and workshops to help you with some tips and tricks. Some of the classes include Miniature Figure Model painting, Smooth on Applications, Painting life sized Monsters and even a sculpting class by Jordu Schell from the hit show we all know and love Making Monsters. Also attending the show from Making Monsters is Mikey Rotella among many other very talented artists. Being that we all have begun venturing into the world of sculpting, molding and casting and painting I think this is a show well worth making it out too even if it is simply for inspiration. I myself and am hopefully headed to Jersey Fest as I would love to meet up with Jordu again and have the opportunity to talk with both him and Mikey and I think the art that will be on display is just too good to pass up but overall these are two shows that look like a lot of fun for those of us in the NJ/NY/PA area. If I go I will definitely take a lot of pictures and try to get a post up next week with a review. Happy haunting Frightners! Frightguy.
